I'M HOUDA
I'm a Moroccan girl who got completely obsessed with styling outfits and somehow turned that into a blog that people actually read. Still surprised about that last part.

Outfits still to come
Okay so here is the actual story. In 2020 I was styling outfits on a table at a local market in Morocco. No website, no following, no plan. I just loved putting looks together and I loved the moment when someone walked past, stopped, and their face changed because they saw something that felt right for them.
I started writing about it because I had a lot of opinions and not enough people to share them with. What shoes actually work with capri pants. Why some floral prints feel dated and others feel current. How to dress for an outdoor graduation when it is 85°F and you still need to look good in photos. Real questions with specific answers — not “just wear what makes you feel confident” which is the most useless advice in fashion.
Lumia Outfits is still just me. I write everything, research everything, and obsess over every outfit formula more than is probably healthy. I don't have a team of editors or a PR agency sending me things. What you read here is genuinely what I think.
I'm based between Morocco and wherever the next good market is. My aesthetic is shaped by Moroccan colour and texture — warm terracottas, good linens, the kind of layering that comes from growing up in a place where the temperature changes completely between morning and evening. You will see that in everything I do, whether I intend it or not.
I write about clothes for women who wear them in real life
Not for the runway. Not for the editorial shoot where someone has eight people adjusting the fabric. For the morning when you have fifteen minutes and need to not look like you had fifteen minutes.
I write outfit formulas with specific pieces and specific reasons. I explain why something works, not just that it does. I tell you which shoe changes everything and which one undoes an otherwise good outfit. Specific. Honest. No filler.
If you ever want to reach me — question about an outfit, a venue, a body type, anything — the comments are real and I read all of them.

Things I genuinely believe
Clothes are personal, not aspirational
I don't care what looks good on a runway. I care what looks good on you, in your real life, with your actual budget. That's the only question worth answering.
I'll tell you when something doesn't work
Most fashion content is just saying yes to everything. I'd rather be the friend who says 'actually that hem length is working against you' — because that's more useful.
Morocco is in everything I do
The colour, the texture, the way I think about layering and fabric and craft — it all comes from where I grew up. I don't try to hide that. It's probably the best thing about this blog.

I answer. Every one.
